This online course is part of our DeL (Distance eLearning) programme and Blended Learning program. The GSAR Blended Learning program implies that "Upside Down Classroom" meaning that after they take the online training they take a test of 100 questions and upon passing that they take face to face training with the foundation of learning from the course.

Take this online course and do the online test and get a certificate from ERT SAR

Search Operator

• Do the GSAR Online Training and then also
• do a one day practical training and assessment
• Take a written test - 80% passmark

Search Technician

• Do Search Operator Certification
• Do a one day training
• Take a written test
• Includes Night Exercise
• Enhances Tracking and Technical skills

ERT SAR Members get the single reflective leg band

Members get the refective bands after this training

GSAR Team Leader

• Complete the Search Technician Course
• Have experience as a Search Tech with Call Outs
• Do a 4 hour Training
• Pass a practical assessment
• Wears Collared Shirt with min. 3 chevrons
• Gets ICS Admin Pack

GSAR Overhead Manager

• Complete the Search Technician Course
• Have experience as a Search Tech with Call Outs
• Do a 4 hour Training
• Pass a practical assessment
• Wears Collared Shirt with min. 3 chevrons
• Gets ICS Admin Pack

GSAR Search Manager

• Complete the Search Technician Course
• Have experience as a Search Tech with Call Outs
• Do a two-Weekend Training (4 to 5 days)
• Pass a Practical assessment
• Pass a Written Assessment
• Wears Collared Shirt with min. 1 Bar (Group Leader)
• Gets ICS Admin Pack
